Crappie Kings Blog
Bill and I just completed our 11th tournament on the circuit this year for Crappie masters and placed 11th in the tournament yesterday on Rathbun. It was a tough tournament with the lake high by 6 feet and muddy. We caught well over 60 crappie with eone at 1.59 and another at 1.25. We gained 16 more points above the second place team and now lead in the year's point race by 62 over the very capable Reedy team.
Now it is one to Texhoma for the twelf tournament of the year this coming saturday.
Until later this week, keep your hooks wet,
Dan and bill
ShareThis week Bill and I were invited to support our wonderful Crappie Kings sponsor Gary Yamamoto with their annual Porter Wagner Memorial tournament held each year in Hendersonville TN with the CMA Fans week. Chief George Braswell asked us to come and support the rest of the Yamamoto staff and Pro Staff to work their event.
What an extreme pleasure to work with the Gary Yamamoto, his wife Beverly, and their staff as well as all the pros, fishing industry folks, CMA, and country western stars and musicians. As many know, Porter was a big fan of bass fishing and the great outdoors and his daughter fished the tournament in his memory.
I will post pictures once I receive them for all to see but what fun and great PR for the fishing industry. Lots of fish were caught and everyone was a winner!!!!

The Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters Arkansas State Championship is in the history books. The Caps and Coleman fishing machine has won another one to add to the more than $1.8M winnings to date over 30 years of fishing for crappie. They are truly the Crappie experts.
bill and I placed 19th while fishing Brewer Lake. We expanded our Points Race lead for the year to 12 points. This was inspite of forgeting our fishing poles the morning of the media event. We now bring them into the room after having mine stolen in Grenada MS last week. We drove back and got them and placed 3rd with Judge Preston Scroggins.
Then today we had a trolling motor battery go dead due to some reversed wiring issues. We had to quickly swap batteries this morning and we were a little late to start fishing. Ohh, the things we do to fish on the circuit.
Tomorrow, on to Lake of the Ozarks to fish there next Saturday.
